What is a Face Serum, Anyway?

Simply put, face serums are a type of skincare product specially formulated to deliver specific results depending upon the skin concern.

They are thin in texture, which helps them penetrate deeper levels of your skin. Face serums are comprised of highly concentrated active ingredients like vitamins A and C, niacinamides, retinol and coenzyme Q10, a collagen boosting powerhouse.

Hyaluronic acid serum helps to hydrate and plump the skin by attracting and retaining moisture, improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and promoting a more youthful, glowing complexion. It can also help to improve the skin’s texture and reduce the appearance of dryness or roughness.

A. There is no one “best” hyaluronic acid serum, as different products may work better for different skin types and concerns. Some popular and well-regarded options include The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel, and Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Serum. One of the best serums I’ve tried. Leaves your skin feeling, quite literally, silky smooth. I’ve tried so many HA-based serums and they invariably end up feeling either sticky or still slightly sticky on my skin (I have normal/combi skin), however little number of drops I apply. But this serum seems to be a game-changer. I either apply it on damp skin or prep skin with Rose Water Face Mist first, which works beautifully as well.
